Transportation

We want to make sure you never have to choose between spending money on transportation to attend doctor visits, grocery visits, or community engagement activities or food for your family. We have non-emergency transportation so you can get to appointments, the grocery store and more! The list below outlines when you can get a ride from TrueCare.

  • Unlimited transportation to and from health care visits with no copay requirement
  • Five (5) grocery trips per month
  • TrueCare sponsored education events, programs, and value-added benefits.
  • High School Equivalency (HSE) classes, job interviews, and other approved activities for all members not eligible for monthly bus passes through the Medicaid program
  • Methadone treatment at a clinic
  • Parental visits with your infant in an inpatient setting
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and parenting classes for parents and caregivers
  • Parent and caregiver visits at Residential Treatment Facilities
  • Faith-based organization programs, church or faith services and community social service programs
  • Eligibility and redetermination appointments at local Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Medicaid offices

You can also call Member Services to set up a ride. You can speak with a transportation staff person Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can also schedule a ride through our message system after hours and on weekends. All messages are returned within one day. You can call us if you have a transportation complaint or issue.

Important:

  • Schedule your doctor appointment before you call to get a ride.
  • Call and get your ride lined up two business days (48 hours) before you need it.
  • We may call your doctor’s office to verify the doctor visit.
